The Portmore Municipal Council, in partnership with the Public Health Department and the National Solid Waste Management Authority, will conduct a cleanup exercise on Wednesday, October 15 in the Old Braeton area of Portmore, St. Catherine in the following communities:
Reid’s Pen
Gerbera Ave,
Braeton Meadows
McPherson Drive
Dream Land Drive
Cressor Lane
Oleander Drive
Then, the clean up effort will begin in the Gregory Park area in the following communities:
On Thursday, October 16:
Gulf
Compund
Train Line
Portmore Villas
Queens Ave.
On Friday, October 17:
Gregory Park Proper
Godly Ave.
Hamilton Gardens
Christian Pen
Banga Gully
Walkers Ave.
Phoenix Vista
Watson Grove
The cleanup exercise will commence at 7 a.m. each day. Residents are urged to put out old appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, microwave ovens and any other containers that contribute to the breeding of mosquitoes. A truck will be coming around to collect these items on the stated days.
