Prime Minister the Most. Hon. Andrew Holness says the police are making progress into their investigations, following recent attacks on armoured cash delivery services.

“Those brazen crimes have not gone unsolved, and the police have dramatically improved their investigative and intelligence gathering capabilities. Those criminals who feel that they are going to benefit from this robbery, that is not going to be the case, it will become your worst nightmare,” Prime Minister Holness said.

He was delivering the keynote address at the handover of a two-bedroom house to Annette Peart in Devon, Manchester on April 14.

The house was provided for under the New Social Housing Programme (NSHP), which operates under the Housing, Opportunity, Production and Employment (HOPE) Programme, through the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation.

The initiative, conceptualised by the Prime Minister and implemented in 2018, aims to improve the quality of housing for Jamaica’s neediest citizens.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also expressed concern at the increase in criminal activities taking place in sections of Manchester.

“The police have been working overtime here, to try and bring this problem under control. I have been assured that resources have been mobilised to treat with the problem,” Mr. Holness said.
