Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, commiserates with Marian Shakespeare, widow of late master bass player, Robert 'Robbie' Shakespeare, during Sunday's (February 6) public viewing of the musician's body at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston. Looking on is Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Hon. Olivia Grange. Mr. Shakespeare was one half of Reggae music's famed Rhythm Twins - 'Sly and Robbie' - which he formed with drummer, Lowell 'Sly' Dunbar. Mr. Shakespeare passed away at a Miami hospital in the United States on December 8, 2021.

Dubbed the ‘Crown Prince of Reggae’, he recorded more than 75 albums throughout his prolific career and is considered one of the most renowned artistes of the reggae music genre, lovers rock. Dennis Brown was born on February 1, 1957 and died on July1, 1999.
