Minister of Labour and Social Security and Member of Parliament for Clarendon South Eastern, Hon. Pearnel Charles Jr. (sixth right), and Ambassador-designate of Japan to Jamaica, His Excellency Kohei Maruyama (sixth left), cut the ribbon to officially hand over a new school bus to Bustamante High School on Thursday (March 5) at the institution’s grounds in Lionel Town, Clarendon. Joining the moment are Principal, Bustamante High School, Wayne Evans (fourth from left); Regional Director, Region 7, Ministry of Education and Youth, Barrington Richardson (fifth from left); Executive Director of the National Education Trust (NET), Latoya Harris Ghartey (fifth from right); other stakeholders and students. The vehicle was donated through the Government of Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects to improve transportation, safety and access to school activities for students and staff.
