Following on the heels of the very successful first Town Hall meeting in Mandeville Prime Minister the Hon. Bruce Golding and his team will continue to take the government’s message across the island. The next stop will be at the HEART Academy auditorium in Portmore, on Tuesday, May 26 starting at 7:00 p.m.
Supporting Prime Minister Golding on the town hall tour in Portmore will be Minister of State the Hon. Bobby Montague who has responsibility for Local Government, and Industry, Commerce and Investment Minister, the Hon. Karl Samuda. Minister Montague will address issues relating to Local Government while small and medium sized business operators can expect to have their concerns aired and discussed with Minister Karl Samuda.
The Prime Minister will be available to discuss and take questions from the public on issues arising out of his presentation in the budget debate. Other special guests on the programme will be Minister with responsibility for Information and Telecommunications, the Hon. Daryl Vaz, Mayor Keith Hines, and other Portmore community leaders.
The Prime Minister’s Town Hall meetings will be going to a different major town each month, as the Government continues to provide the public with opportunity to air their views, ask questions and make recommendations on matters that directly affect them.
