Residents of Annotto Bay, St. Mary, and surrounding areas, will be able to meet Prime Minister Bruce Golding at his next Town Hall meeting, at the St. Theresa Church on September ninth, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Golding will be supported by Minister of Transport and Works, Hon. Mike Henry, who will give updates on road repair projects being financed through the increased funding of the Road Maintenance Fund with the dedicated 20% of the recent gas cess increase.
Mr. Henry will also address other developments in the Works sector, including the expansion of the Boscobel Aerodrome, which is currently underway, and the improvements in transport sector.
Minister with Responsibility for Local Government and Member of Parliament for Western St Mary, Robert Montague; MP for South Eastern St. Mary, which is hosting the meeting, Tarn Peralto, and Minister with Responsibility for Information and Telecommunications, Daryl Vaz, will also attend.
The popular series of meetings complement the Prime Minister’s monthly radio programme, ‘Jamaica House Live’, where he is able to articulate Government’s policies, programmes and the state of the nation directly to the electorate.
The meeting in Annotto Bay will be broadcast live on local cable provider, Silly Video Cable Network Limited and also streamed live on jis.gov.jm.
