Prime Minister Bruce Golding, has set up a task force which is being headed by Transport and Works Minister, Mike Henry, to look into the restoration work to be done in the aftermath of the devastation caused by Tropical Storm Gustav.
Mr. Golding held a meeting this morning (Sept 1), at Jamaica House, with all the critical agencies along with the Ministers of Agriculture, Water and Housing, National Security, Mining, Labour and Social Security and the Ministers of State for Project Implementation and Service Delivery and Planning and Development in the Office of the Prime Minister .
The task force will include representatives from the National Works Agency, the KSAC, the Ministry of Water and Housing and the National Land Agency.
Mr. Golding has requested an update from all the critical agencies, in order to make a full report to Parliament tomorrow, on the damage done, as well as an update of the restoration work carried out so far.
