Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Denzil Thorpe, lays flowers on the tomb of religious revivalist, painter, sculptor and cultural force, Mallica “Kapo” Reynolds, in commemoration of the 110th anniversary of his birth on February 10, at the National Heroes Park in Kingston. Kapo was one of the greatest artists in Jamaica’s ‘Intuitives’ artistic movement. He was born in the Byndloss district of St. Catherine and died in 1989 at age 78 years.
