Prime Minister, the Most Hon Andrew Holness joined dozens of heads of state in Panama City, Panama on Sunday, June 26, for the official opening of the expanded Panama Canal.

Also present at the opening ceremony were Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith; and Minister of Transport and Mining, Hon. Mike Henry.

The historic occasion was highlighted by the transit of the Chinese container ship ‘Cosco Shipping Panama’.
