Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, lays a floral tribute at the grave of former Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Edward Seaga, during a ceremony held on Thursday (May 28) at National Heroes Park in Kingston to mark the life and work of the late statesman. The fifth Prime Minister of Jamaica, Edward Seaga held the office for two successive terms from 1980 to 1989 and was leader of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) from 1974 until his retirement in 2005. Mr. Seaga was elected Member of Parliament for Western Kingston in April, 1962 and held the seat for 40 consecutive years. Mr. Seaga died on his 89th birthday on May 28, 2019.
