Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton (at podium), addresses a reception for three medical missions to the island, held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston on Sunday (January 15). The visiting medical and health professionals will be conducting surgeries at hospitals in the Corporate Area over the next two weeks. Among them is a team of doctors and nurses, who will work under the Project CODECARE programme, which is aimed at reducing the backlog of surgeries in the public health system due to COVID-19.
