Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green (second left), presents two bags of fertiliser to Manchester farmer, Peter Stevenson (centre), who was impacted during the passage of Hurricane Beryl. The presentation was made during a ceremony at the National Irrigation Commission’s (NIC) Newport/Duff House Office in Manchester on Wednesday (July 31). The fertiliser was part of a batch donated by Newport Fersan Jamaica Limited in support of the Government’s post-hurricane recovery efforts. Assisting with the presentation (from left) are: Vice Chair, Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) Manchester Parish Advisory Board, Damion Young; Manchester Southern Member of Parliament, Robert Chin; and Newport Fersan Sales Manager, Denton Alvaranga.
