Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Hon. Olivia Grange, brings remarks at the annual roti festival and Indian Arrival Day celebrations at Chedwin Park on Old Harbour Road in St. Catherine on Sunday (May 14). Indian Arrival Day is observed in honour of the first set of East Indian indentured labourers, who landed at Old Harbour Bay on May 12, 1845, to fill the labour gaps left by enslaved Africans who became emancipated in 1838.
