Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller (right), receives an Honorary Doctorate from Executive Assistant to the Dean and Faculty Advisor at the Union Institute and University in the United States, Angela  Byles (centre), at a reception held at the Wyndham Hotel on January 5, following  her swearing-in ceremony at King’s House.  At left is  Dean Emeritus  of the Institute, Dr. Marie Bogat. Mrs. Simpson Miller  holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration from the university, which is located in Florida.
