Language Skills Training Programme For Tourism Workers

Labour and Social Security Minister, Hon. Derrick Kellier (right), is presented with a copy of the signed agreement between the National Insurance Fund (NIF) and European hotel chain, Melia Hotels International (MHI), for the provision of over 400 jobs for Jamaicans at the Braco Hotel in Trelwany by MHI Chairman, Gabriel Escarrer Julia (left), following a brief signing ceremony at the hotel on November 21. MHI, which is Europe’s third largest hotel chain, will operate Braco Hotel over the next 15 years. Sharing the proceedings is Tourism and Entertainment Minister, Hon. Wykeham McNeill who participated in discussions also involving  Minister Kellier, who has portfolio responsibility for the NIF, and Mr. Julia, leading to the agreement being formulated.
