Cabinet has approved the award of a contract by the National Water Commission (NWC) to TouchPoint Centres International in the sum of $25.7 million for the supply of call management services.
Making the announcement at yesterday’s (October 24) post-Cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House, Minister of Information, Senator Burchell Whiteman explained that the NWC was seeking to improve the level of service to its customers by enhancing communication and information management within the organization.
Under the contract, there will be the provision of a call centre to provide inbound and outbound call management services. The call centre will accept customer enquiries and complaints and make outbound calls to customers and staff.
Meanwhile, Cabinet also approved the award of a contract by the NWC to Business Management Limited (BML) for US$252,096 for the supply and installation of a Bill Inserting Machine (BIM). The equipment will produce from continuous forms 6,000 pieces hourly, inserting them into franked envelopes. The BIM will also be able to handle cut sheet forms.
Under this contract, BML will supply, install, train and provide after sale service and monitoring of bill inserting/mailing and other associated matters.
Minister Whiteman noted that the contract would be financed directly from the NWC’s budget.
