Customers from nine communities in North Eastern St. Elizabeth who are served by the National Water Commission’s (NWC) Benlomonds water system should experience some disruption to their regular supply tomorrow,(December 22) beginning at 10 a.m. This has come about as a result of urgent repair work being done on an 8-inch transmission main that serves the area.
NWC Community Relations Officer, Karen Brown told JIS News that every effort was being made to have all the repair work completed ahead of schedule. The communities to be affected are Benlomonds, Thornton, Mosquito Bottom, Plaintain Walk, Williamsfield, Windsor Spring, Siloah, Aberdeen and Crown Land.
Miss Brown informed that customers who required “special assistance” could make contact through the Commission’s call centre at: 1-888-CALL-NWC (1-888-225-5692). She advised householders to “store water for use during this period as we are well aware of the importance of having access to potable water for daily use.we are making every effort to have the supply restored by the end of the day”.
