The National Works Agency (NWA) has commenced a $120 million patching programme, though which several road sections in the 14 parishes will be repaired and the condition of these roadways improved.
This programme is being implemented on a phased basis as of December 1 and will address just under 60,000 square metres of patching in the 60 constituencies.
Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw, says that patching of the roadways will be carried out by NWA Force Account Teams as well as contractors employed by the agency.
The duration of this patching exercise is 4 weeks. The programme is part of the NWA’s routine maintenance activities and is being undertaken by funds collected as part of the Fuel Cess.
