November will be observed as Health Month by the St. Ann Health Committee. The Month will be celebrated under the theme: ‘Healthy Lifestyle, Healthy Environment Equals Healthy People’.
Members of the Committee will be hosting several events to educate the public and promote good health among residents in the parish.
There will be a series of health exhibitions at the various Health Centres across the parish.
A fund-raising marathon is scheduled for November 17, in memory of Terry Fox, the Canadian cancer patient who ran the ‘Marathon of Hope’ in Canada to raise money for cancer research.
Other activities include a health extravaganza on November 25 on the grounds of the St. Ann Health Department; a Gospel Concert on November 27 and a Staff Day on November 30.
