Nominations Open for National Civil Honours and Awards 2005

The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has announced that nominations are invited for the National Civil Honours and Awards for 2005 to be announced on Independence Day and presented in October during the National Heroes Day celebrations at King’s House.
Candidates may be nominated for the award of the Order of Merit, the Order of Jamaica and the Order of Distinction, in the ranks of Commander and Officer. Nominations may also be submitted for the award of the Badge of Honour for Gallantry, Meritorious Service and for Long and Faithful Service.
Nominations must be submitted on the prescribed form which can be obtained from the Chancery of the Orders of the Societies of Honour at the OPM. The completed nomination form should be returned to the Chancery no later than Thursday March 31, 2005 and should be accompanied by a current and brief biographical data that include the nominee’s achievements or details of service rendered.
