NHT to Host Home Expos

The National Housing Trust (NHT) is encouraging aspiring homeowners to participate in its two upcoming Home IT Expos.

Senior Marketing Coordinator, Jywanza Hall, says the first is slated for Harmony Beach Park in Montego Bay on Saturday (October 25) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m..

The second is set for Emancipation Park in Kingston on November 2.

He advises that the events will offer valuable resources for the homeownership journey.

“Attendees will gain access to essential information regarding financing options, eligibility criteria and practical advice to navigate the home-buying process. We are encouraging first-time home buyers to come prepared with their Tax Registration Number (TRN), National Insurance Scheme (NIS) card and an ID to explore their eligibility and options,” Mr. Hall said.

The event promises to bring together prospective homeowners with NHT mortgage partners, including the National Commercial Bank, Scotiabank, First Global Bank, and First Heritage Corporate Credit Union.

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask crucial questions regarding mortgage options, interest rates, repayment terms and associated costs.

“It is essential for attendees to know what they can afford so that they can focus their search within their budget and make the best choices for their future,” Mr. Hall emphasised.

He indicated that the NHT intends to take the expo to other locations to ensure that more Jamaicans can benefit from this initiative as they pursue their dream of homeownership.

Mr. Hall encourages all attendees to come with an open mind and a readiness to learn, pointing out that, “homeownership is an intentional venture, and we are here to guide you every step of the way”.
