Occasion was the Spirit of Independence Awards Presentation ceremony at the Devonshire in St. Andrew, today (September 15). In keeping with the 2016 Jamaica Festival theme, ‘Let’s Get Together and Feel Alright’, local businesses and government agencies were encouraged to display their ‘Spirit of Independence’ by decorating their offices in a window dressing competition, while parish council offices were encouraged to decorate their various town squares.

Ruel Reid (third left), plays the piano at the recently opened Marley Music Room at the GraceKennedy/Parade Gardens Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Centre, on Water Lane, in Kingston. Surrounding the Minister are students from the Holy Family Primary and Infant School and the Dupont Primary School.
