New production well coming for farmers in Manchester and St. Elizabeth

Cabinet has approved the award of a contract to Jamaica Wells and Services Company to develop a production well that will serve 376 farmers on 400 hectares of land in Manchester.
The well will be constructed at the New Forest/Duff House Irrigation System in St. Elizabeth under the National Irrigation Development Programme for a value of $32,522,432.89.
Minister with responsibility for Information, Telecommunications and Special Projects, Daryl Vaz, made the announcement at this week’s post cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House (March 17).
