Mind Stages Public Sector Leadership Development Conference July 9 to 12

The Management Institute for National Development (MIND) is targeting more than 250 senior public-sector members in Jamaica and the wider region to participate in its annual Public Sector Leadership Development Conference.Permanent secretaries, heads of agencies, directors general and other senior staff are being encouraged to register for the four-day event, which is scheduled to take place July 9 to 12.
Themed ‘Sustaining Public Sector Transformation through Leadership for Service Excellence’, the conference will be held in hybrid format, with virtual workshops on July 9 and 12 and in-person sessions at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston on July 10 and 11.
The conference will be highlighted by the presentation of the MIND Public Life Award for Leadership Excellence at a luncheon on July 11. The prestigious award recognises outstanding leadership that contributes to public sector transformation by one Jamaican and one regional public servant.
Addressing a JIS Think Tank on June 27, Chief Executive Officer of MIND, Dr. Ruby Brown, noted the significance of the conference in enhancing leadership capabilities within the public sector.
