- The Jamaica Information Service (JIS) is the designated agency responsible for media accreditation for the stellar event.
- Accreditation forms are currently on the JIS website – www.jis.gov.jm. Persons may download and complete these, and have the approved by their Editor-in-Chief or any other designated authority.

Journalists who will be covering the Independence Day Grand Gala, at the National Stadium in Kingston, on Wednesday August 6, must be accredited.
The Jamaica Information Service (JIS) is the designated agency responsible for media accreditation for the stellar event.
Accreditation forms are currently on the JIS website – www.jis.gov.jm. Persons may download and complete these, and have the approved by their Editor-in-Chief or any other designated authority.
The forms may be submitted via email to – ereckord@jis.gov.jm or jhunter@jis.gov.jm, or faxed to 754-4051. These must be submitted by Monday, August 4.
Meanwhile, there will be designated areas for the media at the National Stadium, during the event, as no one will be allowed onto the track or field.
