The public education initiative aims to provide a forum for the discussion of the positive aspects of Jamaica’s history, culture and people in a range of formats from radio to news stories.
PositiveJamaica is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s economic growth and development as Jamaica’s economic development is in a real way, dependent on the success of its creative industries and in turn, the success of our creative industries such as our sports, food, dance, music, film and art is dependent on the protection and enhancement of BRAND Jamaica.
A very important aspect of BRAND JAMAICA is the country’s positive and fun “vibes”, yet daily, this aspect of the brand is being affected by unduly negative news. There is no doubt that there are negative stories about every country on earth and it is never the intention to hide our warts however we are certain that Jamaica has far more positive stories than is being reported.
PositiveJamaica aims to help to protect BRAND JAMAICA through the dissemination of the myriad positive news on various aspects of the country’s social, economic and political fiber. The programme will take a multi-faceted approach to this in the form of a radio show, daily press releases and the Positive Jamaica Road Show.
