The Full Story

Residents of Maxfield Avenue and surrounding areas are to benefit from a wellness fair, which will take place on Saturday (November 14) on the grounds of the Church of God of Prophecy in the community.

The fair is being hosted by the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) and will offer free blood pressure, dental and eye checks; and electrocardiogram (ECG), body mass index (BMI) and HIV tests to persons living in Rose Town, Whitfield Town and other areas in the vicinity of the church’s 34 Maxfield Avenue location.

Several Government entities will be on location to offer their services. These include the Registrar General’s Department (RGD), which provides birth, death and marriage certificates; National Family Planning Board (NFPB); and the National Insurance Scheme (NIS).

Family Life Ministries, Elite Pro Skin Care and several financial institutions will also be on hand to offer advice.

There will also be a Kiddies Corner to keep the children occupied while the parents get their check-up.

Persons wishing to access the RGD services should take along valid identification, and supporting documents certified by a Justice of the Peace or Notary Public; and letter of authorisation, if conducting business on behalf of another person.
