The Mandeville Police Youth Club will on Saturday (April 4) stage a fun day to support its social outreach programmes in communities across Manchester.
The event will feature many popular sport activities, involving teams from across the island.
“The Police Youth Club is a large organization in Jamaica, and we will have persons from a wide cross- section of the island participating in the games and giving support. The event is something for the entire family,” said Public Relations Officer of the club, Latoya Hutchinson.
President of the group, Constable Rayon Thompson, said that a special emphasis of the club is on building and supporting communities, as it helps members to embrace volunteerism.
Members of the club visit the homes of elderly persons and provide them with needed assistance. The fun day will be held at the Belair High School playing field, Mandeville, starting at 9:00 a.m.
