The Manchester Infirmary is to benefit from the proceeds of the finals of the Miss Jamaica World Western Beauty Pageant.
The event will be held on July 11, at the Golf View Hotel in Mandeville.
An element of the contest, which has the theme: ‘Beauty with a Purpose,’ is exposing the contestants to charity work in communities.
Last year, the organisers gave support to the New Hope Children’s Home in the parish, and made contribution towards surgery of a child diagnosed with cancer.
A total of 14 young ladies, age 17 to 25 years, are competing in the Miss Jamaica World Western Beauty Pageant.
The winner will compete in the Miss Jamaica World Competition for a chance to contest the Miss World Competition.
