Local producers and manufacturers of innovative and indigenous products and services will be showcasing their merchandise at Signature Sorrel – the ‘signature boutique’ pre-Christmas shopping event.
The grand affair, which is being staged by the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC), under the distinguished patronage of Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller, will be held on November 24 and 25 on the Lawns of Jamaica House from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day.
A wide range of authentic Jamaican products, including ceramic items, paintings, carvings, household accessories, aromatherapy items, clothing, accessories and local cuisines will be available for sale.
Chief Executive Officer of the JBDC, Valerie Veira, explained that the event is in its second year after the overwhelming response from last year’s inaugural staging.
“We will be having the best of the best, as this is a mini version of Kumba Mi Yabba, our major trade fair during the Christmas season. We will have exquisite gift and craft, which is ideal for family, friends and corporate Jamaica,” Miss Veira highlighted.
She added that the event will also include recent graduates from the Edna Manley School of Visual and Performing Arts, who will feature their jewelry line and other “fresh, new Jamaican designs.” The event is by invitation only.
