Minister of Local Government and Community Development, Hon. Desmond McKenzie, will meet with members of the Westmoreland Parish Council at their monthly meeting on October 13.

The Minister is visiting the Council as part of a campaign to familiarise himself with the operations of each local authority, and to be updated on the state of the local infrastructure that is maintained by them.

He will also tour the new parish council building now under construction, the parish infirmary, the Jamaica Fire Brigade office in the parish, and address any other matter that may arise.

Mr. McKenzie has already visited five of the island’s 13 councils – Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC), Portmore Municipal Council, Trelawny, Hanover and St. Elizabeth parish councils.
