Residents of St. Andrew are now enjoying a more comfortable environment and enhanced services at the recently renovated Liguanea Post Office.

This modernisation exercise was executed by Jamaica Post in partnership with the National Identification System (NIDS) and features new tile work, modern counters, several new computers, updated branding and signage, commercial services, and various other enhancements.

An official reopening ceremony will be held on September 17 at the Liguanea Post Mall in St. Andrew.

Speaking with JIS News, Chief Executive Officer of Jamaica Post and Postmaster General, Lincoln Allen, said the renovation project aligns with the entity’s plans to improve the aesthetics and functionality of its facilities across the island, while leveraging strategic partnerships.

“Jamaica Post is resolute in its efforts to fulfil its mandate to modernise the operations of the island’s postal network. The renovation and rebranding of the Liguanea Post Office is a testament of the ongoing transformation that is taking place,” he noted.

“Jamaica Post is dedicated to providing contemporary post offices and innovative services powered by digital technologies,” he underscored.

The Postmaster General said that NIDS has been a key partner in the ongoing upgrade of select Jamaica Post locations, which will serve as NIDS Enrolment Sites.

An additional 23 post offices are slated to be transformed over the next six to eight months.
