The Legal Aid Council (LAC), through its mobile justice unit, will continue its outreach services this week at locations in St. James and Kingston.
On Monday (January 23) the unit will be at the open lot next to Warren’s Hardware in Flanker from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm.
It travels to the Waterhouse Community Centre popularly known as Bagga Park at 10 Batra Road, Kingston 11, on January 25. Residents can access justice services at this location from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The LAC, through its mobile unit, provides free consultation, advice, and completes court assignments for clients with criminal matters. It geared towards persons with legal issues, who cannot afford these services.
Attorneys are on hand to assist with criminal matters before the court, including matters relating to family members, who are in custody and have not received court dates.
