KSAC Approves Resolution for Vending Areas in Downtown Kingston

The Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC), led by Mayor of Kingston, Senator Angela Brown Burke, passed a Resolution for prescribed vending areas in downtown Kingston yesterday November  13, 2012.

These designated areas are: New Chapel Lane from Beckford Street to Spanish Town Road (ground provision); Pechon Street from Beckford Street to Spanish Town Road; West Street from West Queen Street to Heywood Street; and Princess Street from West Queen Street to Heywood Street.

Also prescribed as vending areas are: Luke Lane from West Queen Street to Heywood Street; Mathews Lane from Beckford Street to Heywood Street (eastern sidewalks); Heywood Street from Pechon Street to Orange Street; and Beckford Street from West Street to Darling Street.

The KSAC will also take immediate steps to make the area known as Open Market west, bounded by Pechon, Beckford, West and Barry Streets, available for additional vending spaces, and parking where necessary.
