Governor-General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Sir Patrick Allen, pins the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal (Caribbean Realm) on to Lance Corporal McKenzie, who is the only female to receive the Queen’s Medal this year from the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF). The award ceremony took place at Up Park Camp in Kingston on July 29 during the JDF’s 60th Anniversary Celebrations. This medal is awarded to service members of the Regular and Reserve Force, who completed 18 years of service on February 6, 2022. It is the fourth Jubilee Medal created for The Queen and the seventh official Jubilee Medal to be awarded by a monarch.
