Entries for the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) 2027 competition cycle will open on November 1.

Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Hon. Olivia Grange, made the announcement during the JCDC Marcus Garvey Awards for Excellence in the Performing Arts ceremony, held recently at the Little Theatre in Kingston.

The competitions include the National Festival of the Performing Arts, the Jamaica Festival Song Competition, Jamaica Gospel Star, and the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition, among others.

Ms. Grange is encouraging schools, community groups, cultural practitioners and talented Jamaicans across the island to participate in the competitions and use the opportunities provided to develop their talents.

“Seize this opportunity to take your talent to the next level,” the Minister emphasised.
