The Full Story

Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX) 2006, the tourism industry’s premier marketing event, will be staged in the resort town of Negril from April 23 to 25.
The event, which is organized annually by the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) in collaboration with the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), brings to the island the major players in the sector including tour operators, who package holidays to Jamaica; the retail travel agents, who sell holidays; and the trade and consumer press, which keeps persons up-to-date on what is happening in the industry.
JAPEX 2006 is slated to cost some US$250,000 and will present an opportunity for face-to-face interaction with more than 1,500 international buyers, travel agents and local suppliers of tourism product, including air and ground transportation, hotel rooms and allied services.
The tourism trade show will be staged at the Home Solutions Building on Non Pariel Road, Negril. The building is being specially converted for the event.
