The Management Institute for National Development (MIND) is encouraging all Jamaicans to support the goals of the Public Sector Transformation process.
In an interview with JIS News, Director of Business Development and Communication, Glynis Salmon, said participation from a wide cross section of society will assist the government in charting the way forward for the public sector.
She stated that the upcoming MIND Public Lecture will provide a unique opportunity for Jamaicans to offer thoughtful input on measures that can be taken to improve the public service.
“The transformation process underpins the objective of Vision 2030 to build Jamaica as the place of choice to live, work, do business and raise families, so all Jamaicans should make it their business to get involved in the transformation process. MIND, which is charged with the responsibility to provide public servants with training and support, we have to create avenues that invite and engage the public in critical areas of transformation,” she stated.
The 18th Annual MIND Public Lecture is scheduled for today at the MIND campus on Old Hope Road, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The lecture will be delivered by Chief Executive Officer of the Public Sector Transformation Unit, Patricia Sinclair McCalla. It will focus on the theme: ‘Transforming the Quality of Leadership in the Jamaican Public Service’.
