Jamaicans Need Serious Attitude to Work

Prime Minister Bruce Golding, noted on April 14 that Jamaicans need to develop a serious attitude to work if businesses are to overcome the challenges of the workplace.
Mr. Golding said that the degree of co-operation offered by the trade unions indicated the urgent need for a transformation in the attitude of employees and other workers.
The Prime Minister was responding to questions during a meeting of the Standing Finance Committee, about the Convention Centre which is being constructed by the People’s Republic of China under a bilateral agreement.
The centre, in the Rose Hall Resort area in St James, is expected to employ 280 Chinese workers and 500 Jamaicans. When completed, it will be the largest meeting space in Jamaica.
