The Full Story

The Government of Jamaica, through the Universal Service Fund (USF), an agency of the Ministry of Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport (MSETT) has implemented free Wi-Fi Hotspots in all 14 parishes to create a robust digital society by 2030.

This aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9 which promotes growth in industry, infrastructure and innovation.

Seamless Surfing

There are 252 hotspot locations available to the public. Prior to connecting devices, be aware that:

• There is a 10-minute usage limit per IP address
• Users may reconnect their devices as many times as needed
• The hotspot can accommodate up to 250 users simultaneously

The ongoing project will see an additional 63 sites online by the end of 2023.
