Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, His Excellency Vuk Jeremic will pay an official visit to Jamaica from April 11 to April 13.
On Monday, April 12, Mr. Jeremic will attend a luncheon hosted in his honour by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Delroy Chuck. Among the guests expected to attend are: President of the Senate, Hon. Dr.Oswald Harding, Q.C; representatives of the Internal and External Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives; and, Honorary Consul for the Republic of Serbia, Hon. John Issa.
Mr. Jeremić was sworn in as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia on May 15, 2007. In his capacity, he assumed the roll of Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (May to November 2007).
Mr. Jeremić was born in Belgrade in 1975. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Theoretical Physics. He worked for a number of financial institutions in the City of London, including Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, and then for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. He graduated from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, with a degree of Master in Public Administration.
Mr. Jeremić is married, and speaks English and German.
