Prime Minister the Hon. Bruce Golding, accompanied by disaster managers including the Director General of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) Ronald Jackson left for Haiti today with a view to assess the extent of damage and identify priority needs.
ODPEM has implemented “Help Haiti” and advises the public that persons who wish to make donations can do so at its new location, 2-4 Haining Road Kingston 5 from Friday January 15 to Saturday January 16, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday January 17, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

“Help Haiti” is being co-ordinated by the ODPEM as directed by the Office of the Prime Minister as a response to the devastating effect of the earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010.
