Health Sector Back to Normal

October 16, 2009

The Full Story

The Ministry of Health said last night that, based on reports it has received, the public hospitals have been operating with their full complement of nursing staff since Thursday (October 15).
“This means that normality has been restored at all public health facilities that were affected by high levels of absenteeism of Registered Nurses for the last two days,” a release from the Ministry said.
The reports indicated that most nurses who were scheduled to work on the 7am-3pm shift on Thursday reported for work, the Ministry stated. “As a result contingency arrangements that were put in place were aborted, as all health facilities are now providing full services.”
