Guardsman to Provide Security at Mandeville Hospital

Cabinet has approved a $69 million contract to Guardsman Limited for the provision of security services at the Mandeville Regional Hospital in Manchester.
Minister with responsibility for Information, Senator the Hon. Sandrea Falconer, told the Jamaica House press briefing that the contract period is three years.
It covers 24-hours per day security service to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, material and property.
The Mandeville Regional Hospital is a 'Type B' facility, which provides a range of services to its target clientele of approximately 600,000.
The hospital also caters to patients transferred from the nearby Percy Junor Hospital, May Pen, and Lionel Town hospitals in Clarendon; the Black River Hospital in St. Elizabeth, as well as cases from the primary health care facilities.
