Government pensioners are slated to receive increased payments ranging from $1,100 to $2,000 per month.
The increases have been approved by members of the new Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister the Most Hon. Andrew Holness.
Making the announcement at yesterday’s (March 22) post-Cabinet press briefing, Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Senator the Hon. Ruel Reid, pointed out that, persons receiving a pension of $60,000 per month and up will receive $1,100 per month.
The Minister added that persons receiving under $30,000 per month will receive an increase of $2,000 per month.
