The following is a statement from Senator the Honourable Sandrea Falconer, Minister without Portfolio (Information) in the Office of the Prime Minister. The statement reads:

“The Government of Jamaica congratulates Ms Kaci Fennell on her performance in the Miss Universe Pageant in Doral Miami, Florida, on Sunday (January 25, 2015).

Ms Fennell’s poise and grace made Jamaicans both at home and throughout the diaspora beam with pride and her performance represented what is good about Jamaica, and embodies our hopes for the future of our youth. With her performance, Ms Fennell has earned a place among a group of young women leaders imbued with purpose and a meaningful platform from which to work to help to change the world.

Well done Kaci and continue to blaze new paths for yourself, your generation and country.”
