Future Ready Conference to Be Held from April 23 to 26

The University of Technology (UTech) is set to host in partnership with 21st Century Education and the Ministry of Education and Youth, the Future Ready International Conference from April 23 to 26.
The event will be held under the theme ‘Global Competency for a Global Economy’.
A bulletin issued by the Ministry stated that the collaboration aims to create a comprehensive Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)/ Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) environment for students, emphasising 21st century skills and STEM/STEAM talent development.
The conference will provide opportunities for education officers, principals, teachers, and students to share and learn from each other, as well as hear from top experts in the field of STEM/STEAM Education.
Some of the major highlights of the conference include STEMxpo and drone activities for students; STEM workshops for teachers and educators; featured international and local STEM experts; exposition showcasing projects from the STEM/STEAM pilot schools in Jamaica, and daily cultural immersion activities.
