The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade will be working with other Ministries and Overseas Missions to facilitate the Government’s economic growth and job creation thrust.

Portfolio Minister, Senator the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith, made the disclosure during an interview with journalists just before the start of the first official meeting of the Cabinet on March 15 at the Office of the Prime Minister.

“Economic growth and job creation will be the focus of this Administration and the Ministry is therefore gearing up and starting the process of seeing how exactly we will work with other Ministries and through our missions, to ensure that this Administration’s mission is fulfilled in the interest of Jamaicans at home and abroad,” Senator Johnson Smith said.

She informed that the Ministry recently launched its Facebook page as one means of communicating with the Diaspora and other stakeholders in the international sphere.
