  • Finance and Planning Minister, Dr. the Hon. Peter Phillips leads a Jamaican delegation to attend the 45th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
  • Dr. Phillips will also participate in the ‘handing over’ ceremony as responsibility passes to Jamaica to host the 46th Annual Meeting of the Governors of the CDB in October 2016.

Finance and Planning Minister, Dr. the Hon. Peter Phillips leads a Jamaican delegation to attend the 45th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in Basseterre, St. Kitts. Dr. Phillips will also participate in the ‘handing over’ ceremony as responsibility passes to Jamaica to host the 46th Annual Meeting of the Governors of the CDB in October 2016.

The CDB Annual Meeting is a forum for discussion among the institutions’ Governors and sector leaders on economic issues relevant to the Caribbean region.Representatives of multilateral financial institutions, development agencies, central banks, commercial and investment banks will also be in attendance.  This meeting will provide the opportunity to continue formal discussions with other critical stakeholders on the path that Jamaica is pursuing as outlined in our economic reform programme and efforts being made to reduce our debt, and realize economic growth and development.

The rest of the Jamaican delegation comprises the Financial Secretary, Mr. Devon Rowe; and the Technical Advisor to the Minister of Finance and Planning, Ms Helen McIntosh.

The delegation leaves for St. Kitts on Monday, May 18, 2015 and returns to Jamaica on Friday, May 22, 2015
