Expo to Mark World Water and Meteorological Day

A two-day exposition will highlight activities marking World Water Day and World Meteorological Day in Jamaica, on March 22 and 23 respectively.
Organised by the Ministry of Water, Land, Environment and Climate Change, the exposition will be staged on the south lawns of Devon House, St. Andrew, under the theme: “Partnering for Sustainable Development”.
The work of the Ministry and its agencies, particularly in the area of water and meteorology, will be highlighted during the two-day event, which will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both days.
Portfolio Minister, Hon. Robert Pickersgill, will officially open the exposition and deliver the keynote address, on March 22.
Several agencies, including those under the Ministry’s portfolio, have confirmed their participation in the exposition. They include: the National Water Commission (NWC); Rural Water Supply Limited (RWSL); Water Resources Authority (WRA); and National Meteorological Service.
